Course Information/Registration Method
Target Audience
Individuals aged 15 or above, regardless ofeducational qualifications, may participate in the continuing developmentcourses organized by our office, except for those with specific entryrequirements noted in the course descriptions.
Registration Information
- In-Person Registration: Please visit our office during office hours with your completed registration form and payment.
- Mailing a Cheque: Please complete the registration form and send it along with a crossed cheque made out to "Hong Kong Employment Development Service Ltd." to our office.
- Bank Transfer: Please deposit the tuition fee into HSBC account number 411-227374-838 or BEA account number 015-164-40-02586-1, account name: Hong Kong Employment Development Service Limited. Then, email the deposit slip and course registration form to cdp@hkeds.org or fax it to 2326 8225 (please write the name of the course registrant, course title, and contact number on the slip).
Please keep the original deposit slip and present it at the start of the course for verification.
*Mailing Address: G/F, Lung Shing House, Lower Wong Tai Sin Estate, Kln. We willprocess registration applications within 3 working days from the receipt date,subject to availability.
- The course only accepts the participant's attendance; others cannot substitute or accompany them to audit the classes.
- If the course is canceled, we will notify participants as soon as possible to arrange a transfer to another suitable course or refund the tuition fee.
- Tuition fees paid by students may be fully refunded under the following circumstances, and we will notify students to collect refund cheques from our office:
(a) Course cancellation;
(b) Course fully booked.
- Apart from the reasons listed in (6), students may also apply for a refund in writing before the course starts. Verbal requests will not be accepted, and the processing is as follows:
(a) Refund requests made at least 30 days before the course starts will receive a full refund, but we will deduct HK$200 as an administrative fee; courses with tuition fees less than HK$200 will not be eligible for a refund.
(b) Refund requests made between 30 daysand at least 20 days before the course starts will receive half of the tuition fee, with HK$200 deducted for administrative fees; courses with tuition fees less than HK$200 will not be eligible for a refund.
(c) Requests made less than 20 days beforethe course starts will not be accepted.
(d) Registration fees are non-refundable.

Certificate Arrangement
Certificate Courses:
- Unless otherwise specified, students must have an attendance rate of at least 80% and pass assessments to receive a certificate from our office.
- Students with an attendance rate of at least 80% but who do not pass assessments will only receive an attendance certificate.
- If a student loses their certificate, they must apply in writing for a reissue. The administrative charge for reissuing each certificate is HK$50.
Non-Certificate Courses:
- Students with an attendance rate of 80% or above may apply for an attendance certificate (unless otherwise specified). The administrative charge for each attendance certificate is HK$20.
- If a student loses their attendance certificate, they must apply in writing for a reissue. The administrative charge for reissuing each attendance certificate is HK$20.
Weather Arrangements
- If the Observatory issues or maintains a "Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 3 or below" or "Yellow or Red Rainstorm Warning Signal," all courses will proceed as scheduled.
- If the "Black Rainstorm Warning Signal" is issued during the course, the course will continue.
- If the "Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above" is issued during the course, all classes will be suspended.
- If courses have not begun and a "Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above" or "Black Rainstorm Warning" is issued or maintained, or if the government announces "extreme circumstances" after a super typhoon, all courses will be suspended.
- If the "Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above" or "Black Rainstorm Warning" or "extreme circumstances" are canceled before or at 7:00 AM, morning classes will proceed as scheduled.
- If the "Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above" or "Black Rainstorm Warning" or "extreme circumstances" are canceled before or at 12:00 PM, afternoon classes will proceed as scheduled.
- If the "Tropical Cyclone Warning Signal No. 8 or above" or "Black Rainstorm Warning" or "extreme circumstances" are canceled before or at 4:30 PM, evening classes will proceed as scheduled.
- Classes canceled due to a typhoon, rainstorm, or extreme circumstances will be rescheduled as soon as possible, and the rescheduled dates will be announced by the center.
