Youth Employment and Training Program (YETP)
The purpose of the "Youth Employment and Training Program" is to provide diversified training and job-seeking platforms for youth aged 15 to 29 with an education level of sub-degree or below. The program offers comprehensive pre-employment and on-the-job training opportunities to help young people understand themselves and their career aspirations, enhance their work skills and experience, and improve their competitiveness.
Program Content
Participants will have a "Job Consultant" who is a registered social worker, providing 12 months of employment development and support services.
Training Courses
Participants can, with the assistance oftheir job consultants, enroll in training courses offered by the EmployeesRetraining Board (ERB) or the "Youth Employment and Training Program"
Training Courses from the Employees Retraining Board
After completing an initial assessment, the job consultant will evaluate and confirm the participant's eligibility to enroll in suitable courses.
The ERB offers different types of training courses, including those specifically designed for youth and vocational skills courses covering various industries. The main categories of courses include:
- Employment-linked courses
- Skills enhancement courses
- General skills courses
- Courses for specific target groups
- Youth training courses
Training Courses from the "Youth Employment and Training Program"
The "Youth Employment and Training Program" will organize pre-employment training courses tailored to specific employment needs or target groups to enhance participants' work skills and cultivate a positive attitude toward work, preparing them for future entry into the job market. Participants can contact their job consultants for assistance in enrolling in relevant courses.
- Participants who complete the training course and achieve an attendance rate of 80% or above may apply for a training subsidy.

Internship Program Overview
Participants who achieve an attendance rate of 80% or above during a one-month work internship will receive a work internship certificate issued by the internship organization as encouragement.Additionally, participants can apply to the program office for a $7,300 work internship subsidy.
On-the-Job Training: Offers six to twelve months of paid on-the-job training and off-the-job vocational skills training.
